Bell Settings

If you have an external bell (Options Extra) connected to your terminal then you can set the times the bell will ring and the length in Seconds that the bell will go for.
You can have up to 10 bell times entered into the system. You cannot separate bells to different days all 10 bells if given times will sound on every day.

To setup the 'Bell Settings' you can follow these steps:

  1. Press 'MENU' if you are not already in the menu of the terminal.

You will then see the 'Main Menu'

  1. Again use the arrow buttons to navigate to 'Settings'
  2. Once 'Settings' is highlighted press the 'OK' button.

You will then be in the 'Settings' menu.

  1. Use the arrows and navigate to the 'Basic' option. You can also press the '1' one on the number pad to go directly to the 'Basic' menu.
  2. Once 'Basic' is highlighted then press the 'OK' button to enter the basic menu.


From the options in the 'Basic' menu you need to keep scrolling down with the arrow keys until you see and highlight the 'Bell Settings'

  1. Use the arrow keys to navigate to 'Bell Settings'
  2. Once 'Bell Settings' is highlighted then press the 'OK' button to enter the settings options.


You will then see the list of the available bells. You will normally see '7' on the screen and can use the arrow keys to scroll down to up to '10' bells.

  1. Use the up and down arrows to scroll the list for either a spare bell slot or to choose which bell to edit.
  2. Once you have highlighted the bell you want to modify you press the 'OK' button.


The system will display a second smaller window where you can edit the bell details.

  1. You can use the up and down arrow to highlight either 'Time' or 'Length(s)' then press the 'OK' button to modify that option.
  2. This shows current settings for the bell. To edit the option you must press 'OK' on the option you want to edit.


To set the 'Time' that the bell will sound you can navigate to 'Time' and then press 'OK' and you will see the following:

  1. Once in edit mode you will see the curser showing that you can edit the time.
  2. Use the number pad to enter the time you want the bell to sound. The time is to be entered in 24 hour time so if its 1pm then type in 13:00.
  3. Once you have entered the 'Time' you press 'OK' and it locks the time in and takes you out of edit mode.


Then you can change the length of time in seconds that the bell will sound for.

  1. Once you use the arrow key to highlight the 'Length(s)' option then press 'OK' to enter edit mode.
  2. Change the length you want the bell to sound for.
  3. You can use the number key pad to enter the length. Then press 'OK' to confirm the setting and exit edit mode.


Once you are happy that the details are correct you can:

  1. Navigate until you have highlighted the 'OK' that is on the screen.
  2. Once the 'OK' on the screen is highlighted you can press 'OK' on the key pad to confirm all settings.


  1. The bells you have entered will be displayed in the list.
  2. You can use the up down arrows to navigate the list and press 'OK' if you want to edit any other bell settings.
  3. If you have completed the bell settings you can press 'ESC' to exit the menu and your done.
