Getting Started Guide

Download time logs

You can download the time records onto a USB Disk also known as USB Drive, Pen Drive, Flash Drive, USB Key.

The following explains how:

First you need to plug the USB Disk into the terminal. On both the EC-500 and the EC-50 the port is in the same place.

On the bottom of the terminal.

Once its plugged in you need to go into the 'Menu' of the terminal.

  1. Press the 'MENU' button.

Once in the 'Main Menu' you need to go to the 'USB Disk' option.

  1. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the 'USB Disk' option.
  2. Once 'USB Disk' is highlighted press the 'OK' button to access this option. You can also just press '3' on the key pad to go directly to the 'USB Disk' option.

You will then see the list of options. You then select the 'Download New Time Log'

It is better to choose new time log instead of all as you only want to download times that you have not already downloaded.

  1. Use the up and down arrows to navigate to 'Download New Time Log' if its not already highlighted. By default it should be the first option.
  2. Once highlighted press 'OK' to start the download. (The USB Disk must be plugged into the terminal before you press OK)

Once the process completes you will get a message to let you know its done.

  1. A message will come up telling you when its done. You need to wait till this message comes up before you remove the USB Disk.
  2. Press 'OK' to clear the message.

The same method can be used for downloading management logs. The only difference being that when you download management logs these do not get uploaded to your software.

Once you have downloaded the time logs you will then need to upload the times into your software.
