EC - Privilege Groups

How to create groups with specific privileges or restrictions.

  • Log in to the software and click on Settings.
  • Within Settings click on Privileges.
  • Click on Create Privilege Group.
  • Enter a name for the group.
  • Enter a brief description for the group.
  • Check mark each privilege/feature this group is allowed to view/perform. Note: Creating a group with all privileges is not required, you only need to create groups with defined privileges.
  • Click Save.
      


Here is an example of a "Managers" group for managers who need to approve, edit or view timecards.




Once the group has been created, you can assign the Privilege group to a User.

How to assign a privilege group to a user/manager.
  1. Go to Users and select the "Access Level" tab
  2. Select the user that requires the privilege group in the list of users
  3. Do you want to assign this user management privileges: Select Yes
  4. Assign full privileges to this user: Select No
  5. Allowed to see pay rate: Managers can be restricted from viewing user Pay Rates via this option
  6. Select the privileges: Select the privilege group that you want to assign to the manager. You can have more than one privilege group
  7. Assign a location: Select the locations that pertain to this manager
  8. Assign a department: Select the departments that pertain to this manager
  9. Click Save
