EC - Enrolling Pin

Prior to the employee being able to use pin number at the time clock, you must enrol the employee profile information in the software first, secondly you must create the employee clocking permission . When adding the employee in the software, you will be required to enter the employee name along with the employee ID number and then, while performing the employee clocking permission, this procedure will send the employee ID number, name and pin code to the time clock.  

Follow the instructions below to register the employee pin code
  • Add the employee profile information in the software first.
Note: For this operation to work, the time clock must be connected online. That way the software is able to update the PINs for the employee profile in the time clock. 

Adding a PIN to the employee from the software options do the following:
  • Click on the Users tab.
  • Click on the employee in reference from the employee list.
  • Enter a PIN for the user profile under Clocking Pin Number.
  • Click Save.
      
  1. Assign the employee his Clocking Permissions 


Note: The below is only required to be done when there is no connection to the time clock.

To add a PIN at the time clock do the following:
  • On the time clock press the Menu key.
  • Once in the menu select Users and press OK.
  • Select Enrol and press OK.
  • Enter the ID number for the user you wish to assign a PIN for and press OK. (Zeros on the left of the ID # are irrelevant)
  • Scroll down to Password and press OK.
  • Enter a PIN then press OK and re-enter it again to confirm and press OK.
  • A successful voice prompt will follow.
      


For an employee to clock in and out using PIN.
  • the employee will need to press zero "0" on the device, 
  • enter their user ID number, press OK, 
  • enter the PIN number and press OK.
  • This will be followed by a confirmation message.
